Theo Finch is twelve. He writes the kids' page for the Epic Creek Gazette, and he never goes anywhere without his tape recorder. Every episode is one of Theo's tapes: the people he meets, the trouble he gets into, and the true stories he discovers about the inventors who changed the world.

Who's who
Theo Finch
Curious, brave and a little reckless. Never lies, always asks one more question, and keeps every tape he's ever recorded.
Blue
Can't talk, but always gets his point across. Goes where he likes, and is usually right.
Aunt Del
Flies a creaky old seaplane called the Mallard. She never tells Theo the answer. She just asks, "And how do you know that?"
Mr. Vesper Crane
Polite, smooth, always in a pressed suit. He'd rather buy an idea than have one, and he thinks everything has a price.
For parents
Every story in Epic Creek Adventures is built on a true story from history and one big idea. Twelve Seconds in the Sky is about progress: what to do when you keep failing.
- Episodes are about 15 minutes, the length of a car ride or bedtime, for ages about 6 to 12.
- Each one ends with a Campfire Question for you to talk about together. There are no right answers.
- The history is meant to be true. Where a famous story is really a legend, the show says so.
